What Is This?

I’ve put my thirteen year old website, Stephen Beaumont’s World of Beer, on hold until I get my act finally together and have it updated. (Well, I did that, “temporarily,” two or three years ago. I still intend to turn things around, though.) In the meantime, I’ll be posting all the stuff I’d normally publish at World of Beer here, like beer reviews, industry news and my usual unapologetically opinionated observations.

  1. Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that after reading your posts about all-things beer related, your blog has been featured on the blogroll for the upcoming beer documentary, Beer Wars. Hope you will take a minute to check out the link love here: http://beerwarsmovie.com/extras/links/blog-links/ (and learn a little more about the movie as well!) 🙂

Also wanted to let you know that we also created a badge for beer lovers like yourself to show their support of craft brewers. If you are interested in grabbing it, this link is where you can find it: (http://www.clearspring.com/widgets/49c2bc4c4d5a8b40)

Keep up the great work on your blog, and I hope you’ll make it out on the 16th!

    Sincerely,
    Lisa

There’s a lot of talk in the blogosphere these days about the Beer Wars movie noted above, much if not most of it almost rapturous in its anticipation. Me, I’m more of a wait-and-see kind of guy, so I’m going to hold off providing a sidebar link, but leave Lisa’s comment here for anyone who wants to surf over to the flick’s website.

One thing I do find curious about the movie’s “Beer Wars Live” debut on April 16 is the host, Ben Stein, a man who has no apparent connection to beer and, in some ways, at least, is one truly odd dude.
